Clair Williams BVMS, BSc (Hons), MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from Glasgow Veterinary School back in 2005; prior to this I had successfully completed a degree in Animal Science with Honours from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. I have been a vet, practising in mixed practices since graduating from Glasgow. I started out in a busy 6 vet practice in Garstang, Lancashire, then returning home to the Lake District in 2007 to a mixed practice in Windermere. I made the switch to focus on a 100% small animal a year ago and look forward to continuing this with Highgate Vets, following joining the team in August 2016.

I enjoy being a General Practitioner, meeting you, the client, your pets and the varied cases that these bring in surgery, dentistry and medicine.In my spare time I enjoy outdoor adventures, mountaineering and walking the hills in the Lakes & Highlands with my husband John and our two Border Collies Skye and Islay, while both of us are involved with the Lake District Mountain Rescue Searchdog Association, John as a handler with our Graded Search Dog Skye and I as one of their Honorary Vets helping ensure that both Search Dogs and Handlers are supported by the latest vaccinations, dog health and welfare skills.
