I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with BSc (Hons) Environmental Geosciences in 2013. Since then I’ve been involved with research and conservation of manta rays and whale sharks in Mozambique. I’ve worked as a safety diver in helicopter underwater escape training for an offshore survival centre in Aberdeen. I have also been working as a shark guide up in Scotland where we were running tours to find and snorkel alongside the UK’s largest fish – the basking shark! When I’m not chasing big fish, I like fill my days drinking tea and cuddling my rescue cat Sid.
I have volunteered at multiple animal charities and farms over the years and after several weeks of work experience at Highgate I realised that veterinary nursing was for me! I joined the team in March 2017 and started my veterinary nurse training at Myerscough College in September 2017.
