We are delighted that Highgate reached the top three in a Practice of the Year 2021 national competition! The annual PetPlan UK awards celebrate exceptional and consistent levels of patient and client care, professionalism and interpersonal skills with both colleagues and pet owners.
There were over 15,000 nominations in the Practice of the Year category, and so we feel delighted that the nominations that our clients submitted for Highgate Vets stood out amongst so many. The Beezon Road clinic is the one that was selected as a finalist but with the team rotating between branches, we feel that the whole practice can enjoy the acknowledgement.
Our Clinical Director Liz Dodd is very proud of the team she works with. She said “the team have a variety of interests, including dentistry, dermatology, greyhounds and physiotherapy. We are dedicated to continual improvement with new learnings, ideas and experiences being shared every day. The staff really enjoy working together, and I think this is obvious to our clients.”
COVID-19 restrictions have made the way vets interact with clients and their pets very different this year. At the start of the pandemic the main base at 173 Highgate remained open to care for any sick or injured pets whilst Beezon Road was closed for just one month. It then reopened, initially as a vaccination venue, to ensure some routine care could continue as it became apparent that the pandemic would be more long lasting.
Liz went on to say, “things have been challenging and far from normal this year, so it is especially nice to receive nominations for Petplan Vet of the Year and Practice of 2021 by our lovely clients and know our efforts have been recognised and appreciated.”
The award ceremony took place on 6th May 2021 and the video is still available to view below.
